Whether your child has dreams of playing in the NHL or just wants to be on the ice, our Learn to Skate program will teach them the basic techniques such as proper stride, balance and edge work.

With a 5:1 student/teacher ratio, our Bob Acton Sports Kidz Academy program has a tremendous success rate as we emphasize fun and encouragement throughout the teaching process. Your child should WANT to come to the rink!

When a student’s skating has reached the appropriate level, players can graduate to Learn to Play, where we will introduce the hockey stick. The end goal is for a skater to eventually join our After School Hockey

Sessions are transferable between programs and you can join anytime throughout the year.

Skaters must wear skates, gloves and CSA helmets with full face masks. Knee pads and elbow pads are recommended but are not mandatory. Skaters may also wear full hockey gear if they want.

PLEASE NOTE: There are no classes on stat holidays, PA Days, Christmas Camp and March Break Camp days. Sessions can not be used for After School/Before Hockey. You must sign your child into classes online before attending. All sessions expire April 1st, 2021 (SEASON MAY BE EXTENDED). Sessions may be shared with siblings. Cancellations are only accepted 8 hours before class start time. If you cancel after this time you will not be refunded a session.
