How our summer camps operate

Our Summer Camps operate from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm and our check in and checkout is the Beaches Sports Centre next door to Ted Reeve Arena. We are on the ice from 12-1 pm and 4-5 pm.

Prior to our on ice activity, we do a series of indoor and outdoor training. Our indoor training is focused on developing stick and shooting skills, through demonstrations from our staff and then repetitive training by the student.

Our student/teacher ratio is 8-1 at the high end and 6/1 with junior instructors. We divide the groups by skill level and not age groups. We are always looking to put our students in challenging but obtainable goal setting situations.

This means that your child regardless of age must be able to perform our drills at a level that does not hinder the development of other students. We are not a social promotion school, nor day care centre.

We are hands off camp and have a zero tolerance for bullying and insubordination.

When the student is not on the indoor floor, they will be performing outdoor dryland games, or enjoying leisure time in the playground.

Students are expected to bring, water bottle, snacks and spending money, if they wish to purchase items from canteen set-up during the PM portion of our day.

If you do not wish for your child to enjoy this portion of our camp, then refrain from sending them with currency.

Lunch is from 11:45-12:15

Our menu and updates will be sent out the week prior to camp.

Regards,

Bob Acton

WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT US

∆  I take great pride in having worked with Bob Acton for the past 5yrs.  He's a professional, dedicated and knowledgeable instructor who has been instrumental in making our team a success.

We have won a Provincial Bronze medal, GTHL Cities once and an East Division twice. During this outstanding run, we won numerous high level tournaments and have a team whose skill levels are clearly above the norm.  And that's due to Bob's expertise.

I fully recommend Bob and his team of instructors for nay age group.  They are fun, motivating, organized and clearly know hockey.

∆  Bob is a great mentor for my kids.  He preaches hard work, passion and dedication.  Fueled by an authentic love of the game Bob constantly learns and keeps up to date.  People that put in the work with Bob get great results.  He expects a lot from his young staff but nothing he doesn't expect of himself.  The biggest asset he brings to the table is how much he cares.    He pushes people because he understands that getting better requires hard work.

∆  I just wanted to take this time to tell you that over these past 2 weeks Marco has loved working with Greer.  She is an amazing instructor with a high level of skill set and is able to execute results in a short period of time.

We will definitely register for the after school program you run I’m just waiting for Marco's hockey schedule to determine what days he can attend.

Your program is phenomenal and I commend you for the work that you do with the kids of all ages and skill set.

 ∆ Hi Bob

I wanted to take this moment to thank you.

I really didn't believe Athanasios would have been this happy and enthusiastic participating in one of your camps!

Sofia and I find it very comforting to know he is having fun and enjoying himself. It was a great choice and his favourite camp of this summer.
