At Bob Acton Sports, our Winter Hockey Camp combine hockey skills with the convenience of an all-day program to provide a great experience for our students.
There are two sessions for a total of three hours of on-ice training, including a camp scrimmage. Other sports activities and dryland training will round out our program.
Camp Itinerary
8:30AM: All Instructors arrive/Player Dropoff
9AM-1030AM ice (skill development, power skating, skill stations)
11AM-12PM off ice activity
12PM-1PM Lunch
1PM-2:30PM ice (Game situation drills, competitions, games)
3PM-4PM Camp awards/ wrap up
4:00PM: Pick up
* Ice time can vary.
CAMP NOTES
• Send quick snacks and full water bottles.
• Please respect our “Nut-Free” snack policy.
• Lunch is required except on Pizza Friday!
• Road hockey sticks can be used for ball hockey.
PLEASE NOTE: There are NO REFUNDS on camp purchases. If you need to cancel a camp, a credit will be offered if cancellation is requested prior to seven days of event. Credit will be available for six months from purchase date. No credit will be be available for missing a day of camp regardless of when the cancellation is made.
CLASS SKILL LEVELS
Beginners (Starting at 4 years old)
Teaching Focus: Learning to skate techniques, stopping, balance, C-cuts and basic stick handling. Session concludes with 20 minute, 3-on-3 game on beginner nets.
Intermediate (Based on skill level)
Teaching Focus: Lengthening of skating stride, forward and backward stride development, edge work, cross overs, pivoting, puck control, advanced stick handling and more. Session concludes with 20 minute 3-on-3 game.
Advanced (Based on skill level)
Teaching Focus: Skating explosiveness and acceleration with puck, edge control, drills to improve strength, agility, shot power and accuracy, advanced stick handling and more in-game applicable drills. Session concludes with 20-minute 3-on-3 game with goalies.
